He was a member of Odd Fellows Canal 209 of Chandler. He worked in the Administration office for Warrick County School Corporation as Director of Student Services. Dwight retired in 1999 as a Guidance Counselor for Castle High School where he and his wife remained faithful athletic supporters. He worked the last eight years for SIRS. Dwight had many accomplishments, but his main focus was always his wife, children and grandchildren.
Dwight was preceded in death by his father, Floyd Beard; mother, Loretta Fenneman; step-father, Roger Fenneman; brother, Gerald Beard; step-brother, Ronald Fenneman; sisters-in-law, Ruby Beard and Linda Blackford.
