Hazel Huffman, age 88, passed away July 18, 1991 at a local care center.
She was born December 20, 1902, in West Bountiful, Utah, to Andrew and Chloe Hatch Grant. She married Gilbert J. Huffman December 23, 1925 in the Salt Lake L.D.S. Temple. He preceded her in death July 29, 1972. Hazel was a lifetime member of the L.D.S. Church. She served many callings in the church including Primary President, and Relief Society President. She loved music, and accompanied many vocalists and singing groups. She was loved and admired by everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her daughter Carolyn Burningham, Bountiful; and son James G. Huffman, Bountiful; ten grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. Also preceded in death by two sons and one daughter, DaVorin Huffman, Wayne Allan Huffman, and Jeannine H. Haacke; and one granddaughter, Jimilyn Huffman; also two sisters and three brothers.
Funeral services will be held Monday July 22, 11:00 a.m., at the Bountiful Second Ward, 650 South 2nd East. Family and friends may call Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful and from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Interment: Bountiful City Cemetery.
