WALLACE, JOYCE PHILLIPS "BABE" Born in Birmingham AL, residing in Norcross GA, at the age of 89 went to be with her Lord and reunited with her beloved husband of 54 years, Robert L. Wallace, on February 1, 2013. Joyce retired from the Fulton Co. Board of Education, Atlanta GA. She was a member of Gulf View Methodist Church in Panama City Beach, Florida, and was an Associate Member of Harmony Grove Methodist Church in Lilburn GA, where she attended the Joy Club and Friendship Class. She volunteered for Gwinnett County Senior Services delivering Meals on Wheels for many years. She was predeceased by a brother N. W. Phillips, sisters Margaret Dean Padgett, Maxine Phillips, and Carolyn McCary. She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law: Peggi and Bob Fletcher, Winder GA; Marie and Steve Sawyer, Lawrenceville GA; and Nancy and Herve Rijneveld, Gainesville GA; 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces & nephews. The family will receive friends at 1:00 pm CST on Wednesday February 6th at Elmwood Chapel, Birmingham AL, with graveside service immediately following.
