Margaret R. Shripka, age 68 of Chesaning passed away on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Edgewood Assisted Living in Saginaw.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am on Friday, July 27, 2018 at SS. Francis and Clare Catholic Parish in Birch Run. The family will receive friends that morning from 10:00am until the service.
Margaret was born on October 3, 1949 to William and Lucille (Hart) Mattes in Saginaw. She married Alan G. Shripka on August 18, 1972; they celebrated 44 years of marriage before he predeceased her in July last year.
During her life Margaret worked as a Dental Assistant and a Baker but predominantly as a homemaker taking care of her family. She was very active in her faith, and she enjoyed gardening and reading throughout her life. Most of all, Margaret loved spending time with her family.
Margaret is survived by her children, Therese (Gary) Kish, Monica (Matthew) Jenrow, and Anthony Shripka; her grandchildren, Brady, Michael, Marcus, Megan, and Emmy; her siblings, Lucy (Richard) McInerney, William (Jacque) Mattes, Joan (Dale) Pepper, Jean (Herb) Mielke, Mary (Richard) Chislea, Judy (Steve) Thrall, Joseph Mattes, Cathy Mattes, and Gerard (Nancy) Mattes; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her husband, Alan Shripka; her parents, William and Lucille Mattes; and her godson Tom Lynes.
