Funeral for Dr. Thomas M. Giltner of Sterrett, who died Monday, will be at 11 a.m. tomorrow at the First Christian Church of Birmingham, with burial in Elmwood Cemetery, Elmwood Chapel directing. He was a retired minister of the First Christian Church, an administrator of Hargis Christian Retreat, a graduate of Transylvania University and Lexington Theological Seminary, a member of the board of the Children's Aid Society, former president of the Birmingham Ministerial Association, a veteran of World War II, where he served as a chaplain in the South Pacific, a member of the Birmingham Theological Discussion Group, a member of the Birmingham Council of Christian Education, a chaplain of the Birmingham Civitan Club and International Civitan, and a trustee of Lexington Theological Seminary. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Margaret R. Giltner; two daughters, Mrs. Fred McCoun, Tyler, Texas, and Mrs. Brents Grubbs, Des Moines, Iowa; four sisters, Mrs. A. R. Thomas, Daytona Bech, Fla., and Mrs. Hardin Stewart, Mrs. Thornton Bettison and Mrs. Donald Hunt, all of Louisville, Ky.
