ST. GEORGE -- Ina Dunn Olsen, age 91, passed away at home on Tuesday, June 29, 2004, in Washington, UT.
She was born September 12, 1912, in Manassa, CO, to Simeon Harmon and Anna Buletta Jensen Dunn. She married John Henry Olsen in the Los Angeles LDS Temple.
Ina was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She held many positions. She especially enjoyed working with the single adults. Prior to her marriage, Ina served a mission in San Francisco, CA, and then served a second mission later in life at the Family History Center in Salt Lake City, UT.
Ina served as a temple worker for many years in both the Los Angeles and St. George LDS Temples. She also served on the Republican Presidential Committee.
Ina assisted her husband with a mortuary in Lancaster, CA. Many young people lived with Ina and Henry when they needed help. Ina was loved by many friends and family. She had resided in St. George for the past 22 years.
She is survived by her son, Emery (Bonnie) Olsen, of Washington, UT; grandchildren, Shandi Cravens, of Washington, UT, Emery J. Sisko-Olsen, of Fallbrook, CA, Monica Olsen, of Washington, UT, and John Henry Olsen, of Washington, UT; great-grandchildren, Amber Lynn Cravens, Alexander Emery Sisko, and Michael Ryan Cravens; brothers, Loyd (Catherine) Dunn, of Lancaster, CA, and Rex (Nancy) Dunn, of Farmington, NM; and sisters, Ruth Koch, of Alamosa, CO, Hazel Nite, of Manassa, CO, and Doris (Verden) Mortensen, of Sanford, CO. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother, Edgar Dunn; and sisters, Francis Gillespie, Ethel Forsyth, Cora Bingham, and Elma Pagett.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 3, 2004, at 11:00 a.m. at the St. George Seventh Ward Chapel, 449 South 300 East, St. George, UT. Friends and family may call Friday, July 2, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Spilsbury Mortuary, 110 S. Bluff St., and again on Saturday from 9:30-10:30 a.m., prior to services at the Chapel. Interment will be in the St. George City Cemetery. Arrangements are made under the direction of Spilsbury Mortuary, 673-2454.
