Kathleen Menz, age 65 of Perry, passed away on Sunday, October 21, 2018 at her home in Perry, IA. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 26, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at the Christ Lutheran Church rural Bouton. Burial will be in the Violet Hill Cemetery at Perry, IA.
Kathleen Ann Menz was born on January 11, 1953 at Perry, IA to Edward Ed and Lila Joy (Daugherty) Menz. She attended school in Perry, graduating with the class of 1971. She then attended St. Mary's School of Practical Nursing, Rochester, MN and obtained RN Degree in nursing. Later she went to Iowa State pursuing her love of animals, aspiring to become a veterinarian. She was united in marriage to Chriss Barck at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Perry on December 15, 1973. She worked as an ER Nurse in Colorado Springs, Menomonie, WI, Dallas County Hospital and Mary Greeley Hospital. After retiring from nursing, she started her own general contractor business before later working with her three children at Rainbow International.

In death she rejoins her father, Edward Menz and grandparents, Albert and Eva Menz and Joe and Gladys Daugherty.
