Lenna Eileen Atchley, daughter of Frank and Ninnie Cline Norman, was born October 28, 1922, in Aurora, Missouri, and departed this life April 12, 2009, in Lebanon, surrounded by her loving family.

Eileen made a profession of faith in Christ at an early age and at the time of her death, was an active and faithful member of First Christian Church. The fellowship she shared with her church family was incredibly important to her. She treasured each of them dearly.

On June 14, 1953, she was united in marriage with James Atchley and of this union are three children, all surviving. James preceded her in death on August 10, 1994.

Eileen graduated from Aurora High School. After graduation, she attended and graduated from Burge School of Nursing, where she received an R.N. degree. Lenna practiced nursing in Springfield. She was also associated with American Red Cross. Her profession wasn't work to her. It was a privilege to care for those in need. She had an unmatched ability to nurture those around her and appreciated the close friendships she formed with many of her patients.

Eileen spent her "free time" outdoors. Her favorite past times included tending to her sixty-nine different kinds of roses and collecting rocks. Her family lovingly referred to her as a "Rock Hound." However, her most precious moments were those spent with her adoring family, especially her grandchildren.

She leaves to mourn her passing two sons, David Atchley and his wife Linda and Richard Atchley and his wife Cheryl, all of Lebanon; one daughter, Ruth Ann Scholljegerdes and her husband Tom of Kansas City, MO; one sister, Georgia Wallace of Aurora, MO; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends and church family.

Eileen was also preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Opal Arnhart.

A loving mother, caring grandmother, cherished sister and loyal friend with the ability to light up a room with her gentle voice and doting nature. Those who had the pleasure of knowing her will treasure every memory. She will be greatly missed.
