Funeral service were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Pius X Church, with
interment in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Julie Bourg Trahan Lawton; two step-daughters,
Mary Pat Trahan Landry and husband, Don, and Anne Carol Trahan Lehman and
husband, Robert; seven step-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edmond Michael Lawton Sr. and Mary
Ellen Dwyer Lawton.
He served as a priest in the Archdiocese of New Orleans for 25 years and was
appointed assistant pastor at Holy Rosary Church in Houma for 14 years and
earned a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology.
