Funeral services for Rufus Clark, 78, of Ada Clark will be held Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Reaper Baptist Church, Tower and North Broadway Streets, Ada, OK, at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. The Chickasaw Honor Guard will conduct military honors at the cemetery.
Rufus Clark, a lifetime native of Ada, Oklahoma, passed away on Sunday, October 14, 2018 in Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City.
Mr. Clark was born on August 22, 1940 to Florena and Brownie Clark as the sixth of seven sons and three daughters. He has a twin sister, Ruby Lee Ransom of Ada, as well as an older sister, Ella Mae Briggs, also of Ada. His brother is Dr. Lester Clark of Langston. He and his wife, Aniceta, have one child, Leah Angela Moss of Austin, Texas.
Mr. Clark attended Napier Elementary and High Schools, as well as Ada High School. He is a retired veteran of the U.S. Air Force after serving 20 years. After his military service, he was employed as a supervisor at East Central University in the Maintenance Department for approximately 14 years.
