Celesta Nora Kieke Dippel, longtime resident of Floresville, Texas, passed away Monday, October 15, 2018, at the age of 93.
Celesta was born August 2, 1925, in Carmine, Texas, the daughter of Elsie Schoenberg Kieke and Hermann Kieke.
After attending Harmon School, Celesta worked in general stores, followed by working as a nurses aide from 1970-1979 for the State Hospital. Celesta was baptized November 22, 1925, by Pastor Falkenberg, and confirmed September 22, 1940, by Pastor Eiben at Burton Lutheran Church. She was a member of First Lutheran Church of Floresville, American Legion Auxiliary of Floresville, and V.F.W. Post 8555 Women's Auxiliary of Poth, Texas.
Celesta married the love of her life, Freddie Emil Dippel, on January 9, 1945, at St. John Lutheran Church in Burton, Texas. Freddie, Celesta's beloved husband of over 55 years, preceded her in death on September 24, 2000.
Visitation began at 5:00 P.M. , followed by the prayer service at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at Vinyard Funeral Home Chapel, Floresville.
Funeral services were held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, October 18, 2018, at First Lutheran Church in Floresville, officiated by Pastor John Conrad, followed by interment at Floresville City Cemetery.
