Helen Marie Ridolfi passed away peacefully on October 2, 2018 in Auburn, California.
Helen was born May 21, 1925 in Putneyville, Pennsylvania. She was the oldest of four children born to Darl and Wilma Crissman. Mostly raised and educated in Pennsylvania, her family also lived in southern California during the1930's and 1940's where her father worked in the gas and oil fields. It was in Long Beach where Helen met Rudy Ridolfi. They were married in Auburn in 1949.
Helen and Rudy resided and worked in Auburn their entire married life. Helen retired from the Auburn Union School District after 20+ years of service as School Secretary at Alta Vista School. In retirement, Helen enjoyed traveling and vacationing with her family and volunteering at St. Joseph's Thrift Shop. She was an active member of the local chapter of NAMI for many years.
Helen is survived by children ; three granddaughters and two great granddaughters. Also surviving are two sisters and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Americo "Rudy"; daughter, Leslie Ridolfi; and brother, Ronald Crissman.
Helen will be remembered for her kind nature and generous spirit. She always put her family first.
The Ridolfi family would like to thank the staff at Siena Healthcare for their kind attention and the compassionate care given to our mom and Noni.

Helen was born in Putneyville, Pennsylvania. Her mother was 17 and her stepfather 20. Her early years were spent on the farm with her Lucas grandparents and in California when her father would bring the family west. They lived on and off in California until she was in junior high school. Helen graduated from Clarion Limestone High in 1943. She had 3 siblings, Ronnie, Gloria and Donna. Helen was living in Long Beach when she met her future husband, Americo "Rudy" Ridolfi. He was serving in the US Navy at the time. They married in February 1949 and Auburn became her permanent home. Helen and Rudy raised 4 children, mourning the death of a daughter, Leslie in 1974. Helen worked as a school secretary and retired from the Auburn Union School District. She loved to cook, to sew, and have her family close by. She was quite artistic. Helen always remained close to her family in Pennsylvania, making many car and plane trips throughout the years. Helen was a devoted wife and daughter, a wonderful sister, mother and grandmother to her family.
