Born in Peters Township October 27, 1871; a daughter of the Rev. Luke J. and Jennie Crawford Wasson, she was one of the oldest members of First Presbyterian Church where she was a teacher of the Philathea Class for many years and the originator of the Missionary Society of the church which is named in her honor.
Miss Wasson was a member of the first graduating class of Canonsburg High School in 1889 and was graduated from Washington Seminary in 1892. She came to Canonsburg from Peters Township at the age of 12. Her father was pastor of Fairview Presbyterian Church for many years.
Services were held at 2 p.m. today from the Griffith Funeral Home in charge of the Rev. Daniel B. Eveland pastor of First Presbyterian Church, assisted by the Rev. Arthur Hays, Washington'. Burial was in Oak Spring Cemetery.
