w/o Robert P. Wardlaw, m. 19 Nov 1952, Franklin, Ohio

Patricia Cody Wardlaw (Mrs. Robert P. Wardlaw) passed away July 2, 2017 after a short illness.

Patricia was a product of the Great Depression: self-motivated, eager to learn, a voracious reader, taking little for granted and leaving her children with a legacy of hard work, responsibility, and love. Her word was her bond and she expected the same from others. She loved to tell stories and many times had a twinkle in her eye while doing so. Into middle age Patricia loved to go bowling, fishing, and golf as recreational activities. She loved watching the Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys, enjoying the opportunity to express her opinion of the manager or the coach. Later in life, she enjoyed camping with her husband Robert. They both joined the Good Sam Club and participated in many camping trips in and out of state. After he passed she downsized to a smaller motorhome and continued to solo camp for several more years with the club. Patricia was an avid gardener and enjoyed taking care of her flowers and her landscape. She also enjoyed helping others with their yards. While in her seventies she wore out a lawnmower cutting both her lawn and several of her neighbors'.

Patricia participated in volunteer work that spanned several decades and included items such as a parent volunteer for her children's classes, church, working at a thrift shop for the disabled, and meals-on-wheels. She has touched many people in her own way. She was a friend to all and was truly unforgettable. She will be missed by all who knew her.
