William Benjamin Brown was born 17 Oct. 1853 in Washington County, Tx, and was reared in Washington and Fayette Counties. He was married to Miss Angeline Magby on 29 December 1880, and they lived in one house in Washington County for sixteen years, until they moved to their present home seven miles south of Santa Anna in 1897.

Mrs. Brown and children survive are: Mrs. Green McClure, John Brown, Mrs. G. B. Smith, Mrs. Walter Ferguson, Miss Virgie Brown, Emzy Brown, and Mrs. Ed Schrader all of Santa Anna., Mrs. Moody Polk of Abilene, Jim Brown of Novice, Mrs. Elmer Childress near Stamford, and Ollie Brown of Waller, Tx. There are 21 living grandchildren.

Surviving brothers are Chris & Gus Braun, and sisters Mrs A. Neal Vogler, Mrs. Sophia Homeyer all of Geogetown, and Minnie Miller of Stamford, Tx.
