Mrs. Marilyn Scott, 81 of Benton, KY died on Friday, October 12, 2018, at the Calvert City Convalescent Center in Calvert City, KY.
Born Tuesday, March 9, 1937 in Martin, TN, she was the daughter of the late William Clyde Miles and the late Eva Mae Brock Miles. She was the wife of the late Hugh Evans Scott.
She was a member of First Baptist Church Benton.
She is survived by her daughters, Teresa M. Kern husband Randy of Villa Ridge, IL, Mary Jo Sprouse husband Jim of Benton, KY, Jill R. Scott of Benton, KY; son, John Robert Scott wife Cindy of Madison, MS; sister, Nell Warren of Texas; six grandchildren, Will Kern, James C. Sprouse, Jason Sprouse, Melissa Roberts, Sara Lyn Scott, Cameron Scott; and 7 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Hugh Scott; two brothers, Clyde Miles, Phillip Miles; and one sister, Patty Gammon.
A Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 15, 2018 at Collier Funeral Home located at 211 West 5th Benton, Kentucky 42025 with the Rev. Don Wilson officiating.
Interment will follow in Benton Cemetery, Benton, KY.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday, October 14, 2018, at Collier Funeral Home.
