AUGUST 5, 1932 ~ OCTOBER 6, 2018 (AGE 86)
On Saturday, Oct. 6, 2018, Inez Whitlock Austin passed through the gates of Heaven to be greeted by our heavenly father. Her pain is over and most importantly, her memories were fully restored.
She was also greeted by many who had gone before her, husband of 64 years, A.G. Austin; her sons, Coy Austin and Tony Austin; and her daughter, Sharon Austin Harper.
She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Cureton (Fred) of Clay, AL and her her brother, John Whalen (Sandra), of Pell City, AL. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren that her life has touched.
A special thanks should be given to her care at Fairhaven Methodist Home, the nurse's aides, and all who knew her and loved her. She would always tell everyone as they left her room "I love you" and she truly did. Also special thanks to Oasis Hospice Care. They gave additional physical, emotional, and spiritual care during these last months. Under bad situations, good friends, good things and most of all God's Blessings can be received to all willing to accept.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 9, at 2pm in the Chapel at Jefferson Memorial in Trussville. A visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Forest Hill Cemetery in Birmingham.
