Dean Clark Browne peacefully passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2018.

Dad was born January 19, 1927 in Ogden, Utah to Walter J. and Mary Clark Browne; he was 5th of eight children.

He joined the U.S. Navy during World War II serving on the USS Ancon in the Pacific Theater and witnessed the Japanese surrender in Tokyo Bay.

In May of 1946, Dean met Donna Parker and they were married January 29, 1947. They were married 67 years when she passed away in 2014.

He was a Branch Manager for Bankers Life and Casualty and then an independent insurance agent until he retired.

Dad shared with us his joy of the outdoors. We camped in a tent, a trailer, and then a motorhome. We fished, hunted, skied and boated on Flaming George, Yellowstone and Jackson lakes. Dad and mom loved to golf and boat with their group of close knit friends.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Dean is survived by three sons, Clark (Gloria, deceased), Scott (Cathy), Ted (Toni), one sister, Annie (Phil) Cordova, eight grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at the Ogden City Cemetery, 1875 Monroe Blvd.

We would like to thank the caregivers at Beehive Home in Syracuse and Brighton Hospice for their loving care.

In lieu of flowers, please go to a yard sale and buy something you don’t need and then give it to someone who does. It will make Dad happy.
