Donald Wilburn Pegoda was born in Harris County, Texas February 11, 1955 to Vernon and Viola Pegoda. He was second to oldest of four children. He went to be with the Lord in Huntsville, Texas on October 4, 2018 at age 63.

He worked as a truck driver for 20 years and was an enthusiastic employee of United Vision Logistics.
Donald loved the outdoors and it was expressed in camping and hunting adventures.
He started attending Harding Memorial Missionary Baptist Church as a child and later served as a deacon. Donald’s family has fond memories experienced together such as singing “Will Work Till Jesus Comes.”

Donald is survived by his wife, Karen and their children, Laci Chatham and husband Avery, Heather Lawler, Autumn Evans and husband Kyle. His grandchildren: Cyler Hamner, William Lawler, Jacob Lawler, Jaxson Evans and Liam Evans. Donald also has surviving siblings Virginia Ward and husband Bubba, Kenneth Pegoda and wife Laure and one brother who passed, Michael Lynn Pegoda with surviving wife Jeania.

The family will receive friends Monday, October 8, 2018 10:00am at Ebenezer Cemetery on Highway 30. The Honorary pallbearers are William Lawler, Cyler Hamner, Jacob Lawler, Jaxon Evans and Liam Evans. Memorials may be given to Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home before.
