North Adams, June 4 - Gabriel Abbott, 73, former town clerk and school committeeman in the town of Florida, died this morning at North Adams hospital, where he had been for 11 days following a shock.
Born in Siden Syria, he came to this country 55 years ago and for 45 years operated a farm in Florida township. He could speak at least five languages. His widow and a sister Mrs. Sophia Ashkar of this city survive.
