FRANK J. LANDIS
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Van Meter Baptist Church for Frank J. Landis, 86, of rural Van Meter, who die Thursday at home of a heart ailment. Burial will be at the Peru City Cemetery.
Mr. Landis was born in Madison County and lived in Van Meter the past 10 years. He retired from the former Penn-Dixie Cement Co. in 1966 and was a member of the First Church of the Open Bible in Des Moines.
Survivors include his wife, Lucille; two sons, Frank of Omaha, Neb., and James of Van Meter; two sisters, June Croft of Des Moines and Pansey Ruth of Cocoa Beach, Fla.; seven grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. Sunday at the Chamberlain-Fisher Funeral Home in Van Meter.
