Adolph Joseph Benys Sr. was born February 7, 1940 in Yoakum, TX and passed away October 3, 2018 in Houston, TX.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Agnes and Robert Benys and his brother, Robert Benys, Jr.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Janice Benys; his two sons, A.J. Benys Jr. and Steve Benys; his two grandsons, Braeden and Jaxsten Benys as well as his two sisters, Irene and Karen; many in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Adolph built a successful business as a specialty cabinet and trim carpenter in excess of forty years. One of his greatest joys was fishing and deer hunting with his wife, sons and grandsons as well as spending quality time telling funny stories with family and friends. His hobbies were gardening and grilling. He was known by all for his since of loyalty and faith. Adolph lived a rich, full life until he was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s eight years ago. We will miss him greatly.

A visitation for Adolph will be held Sunday, October 7, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a rosary service at 7:00 PM at Pat H. Foley & Company, 1200 West 34th Street, Houston, TX 77018. A funeral mass will occur Monday, October 8, 2018 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 3600 Brinkman St., Houston, TX 77018. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, 1101 Antoine Drive, Houston, TX 77055.
