JENNINGS — Arvie Albert Airhart of Reeves completed the final chapter of his life’s work on Saturday, May 30, 2015, after 82 years. His journeys took him on adventures both domestic and abroad, but his last will be one of eternal peace. Albert retired from the Firestone Plant in Lake Charles after 33 years, but is perhaps best known for his cherished and prized artwork, which is enjoyed around the world. Albert’s life revolved around his greatest joy — his loving family. Perhaps among his most enjoyable times were those working with his family at their cattle ranch. Albert was comforted by his eldest son, Russell, as he quietly and peacefully embarked on his final journey.

Albert is survived by two sons, Russell Airhart, his wife Gail, of Reeves and Steven Airhart of Chicago; his grandchildren, Michael Airhart (Chicago), Shawna Guidry and Kimberly Airhart; greatgrandchildren, Gavon Guidry, Cassidy Rains, Brayden Airhart, all of Reeves; and by his sister, Doris Ahrens of Reeves.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nola LeBato Airhart, and his son, Kenneth Airhart.

Albert lives on in his family’s and friends’ memories and the masterpieces of art he leaves behind. May the final pastures he walks be with those who have passed before him and may we all one day be reunited.
