Alta Juline Lewis was the daughter of Elisha B Lewis and Lovinia Warren Pickett. Alta was one of three children: Florence Imogen 1848; Alta Juline 1855; and Harvey Theodore Lewis 1868.

Alta married Luther T Abbott. They had Two children: Grace A 1884; and Louise Abbott 1888.

Obit was found in the "Minneapolis Tribune" of Nov 29, 1941 on page #12 and reads as follows:
"Abbott --Mrs. Alta L. of 715 W. 40th st., on Thursday, age 86 years, and a resident of Mpls. 65 years. Survived by daughters, Mrs. Leon A. Livermore & Mrs. James B. Welch; 4 grandchildren 2 great grandchildren. Services at Lakewood chapel, Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Arrangements with Davies."
