Four at a Clatter--Last Friday night Mrs. Milton Barr, who lives 12 miles south of town, gave birth to a pair of babies and Saturday gave birth to another pair. The first two were born just before 12 at night and the latter two just after 12 the same night, which gives two of them, Friday the 24th for their birthday and the other two Saturday the 25th for their birthday.
Two of the new comers are boys weighing 4 1/2 pounds each and the other two are girls, one weighing 4 pounds and the other 3 1/2. The news of this marvelous birth spread rapidly through the county and large numbers of Mr. and Mrs.' Barr's friends hastened to their residence to see four babies alive. Sunday there was 150 or 200 persons visited Mr. Barr's residence to see the babies. The mother is doing well. The children are all perfect in shape and healthy to all appearance. (Lebanon Journal)

"Last Friday night, Mrs. Barr, wife of Mr. Milton Barr of this county gave birth to four children, two boys and two girls. The children are all well formed, healthy and bid fair to be raised.
Their weight range from five pounds to three and half pounds. Mrs. Barr is doing well.
Ever since this unusual event transpired, the house of Mr. Barr has been thronged with curious and incredulous spectators. Many supposed that it was a hoax but on investigation it has been found to be a fact. It is true. Mr. Barr is a poor man and this sudden increase in his family has called for assistance from the people. At a meeting held in the Bank of Lebanon it was decided that a subscription should be raised to assist Mr. Barr. One or two wet nurses are wanted and if such will apply at the Bank, they will be regularly employed at good wages and paid promptly. Call at the Bank on Mr. Greenleaf."
Just think of the situation of poor Barr, surrounded with doctors, babies and wet nurses--Mrs. Barr "doing well" and no insurance that the storm is over. If we were in that poor man's
place, we would put up the Barrs to all future transactions. We would send Mrs. Barr to Salt Lake and go into bankruptcy on the accumulated stock.

We are pained to have to record the death of Mrs. Milton Barr, the lady who a short time ago gave birth to four children. All four of the little babes and herself are now gone to the spirit land. The remarkable event that gave to her a national celebrity called up a sympathy from the people everywhere and an earnest hope that she and the little ones might live and be a blessing to one another. But God has saw fit to order it otherwise and she passes into the other world accompanied with her new found treasures, leaving a large circle of friends to mourn her loss.
