He attended Washington High School in Kansas City and left at the age of 17 and joined the United States Navy. He served 4 years and received a honorable discharge. He was awarded a Good Conduct Medal that he did not receive until after 2005.
Kenneth was a firefighter with Kansas City, KS Fire Department. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Kansas City, KS. He was a member of the Miami Tribe of Oklahoma and a maker of peace pipes. He was a board member of Heart of America at the Kansas City Indian Center, a member of the Kansas City Warriors Gourd Society and an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Don and step-mother May E. Thomas Dagenett, his birth mother, Hazel Swaim Dungan, his brother, John Henry and wife Martha Ellis Dagenett and his sister, Mildred Dagenett and husband J.T. Foster.
