Arcadia-82 of Arcadia, Kansas, died at 7:05 a. m. Monday, February 18, 1980 at Mt. Carmel Medical Center. She was born February 12, 1898 in Coalvale, Kansas, southeast of Arcadia, Kansas to Grant and Lillie Speer Ewing. She married Charles Edward Skidmore on January 26, 1918. Charles survives of the home. Harriet was a member of the Arcadia Christian Church, Daisy Chapter 451, Order of the Eastern Star, The Arcadia Rebekah Lodge 668, The Arcadia American Legion and The Arcadia Veterans of the Foreign Wars Auxilary.
She is survived by her husband Charles; her children, Lillian Elliott and Eldon Skidmore of Arcadia, Kansas, Charles Skidmore of Manhattan, Kansas, Joy Skidmore of Tonkawa, Oklahoma, James Skidmore of Pittsburg, Kansas, Jerry Skidmore of Iola, Kansas and Bill Skidmore of Wichita, Kansas; four brothers, 17 grandchildren and 21 great grand children.
Burial will be in the family plot at Sheffield Cemetery.
