Lucinda Jean "Cindy" Klasing, 66, Indianapolis, Ind., died Aug. 10, 2004 at the St. Francis Hospital and Health Center in Beech Grove, Ind.

She was a detective with the Marion County, Ind. Police Department and a security guard for Target Department Store.

Born in Monroe County on Sept. 4, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Nancy (Evans) Allen.

Survivors include her companion of 20 years, Bruce Gibson, Indianapolis; nine sisters — Sarah Jane Harrell, Bowling Green; Penny Gayle Killman, Celina, Tenn.; Rachel J. Kinslow, Greensburg; Jewell Earles and Doris Smitley, both of Indianapolis; Dimple Marie Dennis, Champaign, Ill.; Joyce Blythe, Tompkinsville; and Linda Stacey and Wanda Sue Stacey, both of St. Louis, Mo.; and two brothers, Glen Jerry Allen, Russell Springs, and Jimmy Neal Allen, Festus, Mo. She is also survived by a biological son, Billy DeWayne Cates, Indianapolis, born in 1962.

Two brothers, Eagle Edward and Frank Allen, Jr., and two sisters, Vickie Faye Allen and Ruth Deckard Norris, all preceded her in death.

Serving as pallbearers were Chris and Jonathan Clark, Jacky Underwood, Timmy and Derek Fields, and Randall Killman.
