Former Leading Soprano in Cathedral Choir Passes Away
Mrs. Luna Young Moore, 62, former Salt Lake amateur singer, and wife of J. Hal Moore of the Moore Dental Laboratories,, died at a local hospital early Monday following a lingering Illness.
Mrs. Moore, who who lived at 1764 Fifth East street, for seventeen years was a member of the Cathedral of the Madeleine choir. She was the leading soprano of the choir when it sang during the dedication of the new Cathedral East South Temple Street.
Mrs. Moore was born in Salt Lake, September 17, 1868, a daughter of Brigham Young II and Jane Carrington Young. She had resided here all her life and was married to Mr. Moore forty-seven years ago.
Surviving are her husband, one son, Leland Stanford Moore, and one granddaughter, Miss Betty Moore of Long Beach, Cal; one sister, Louise Y. Brockbank, of Los Angeles; three
brothers, J. Wash Young and J Emerson Young of Los Angeles, and W H. Young of Juab, and several half-brothers and half-sisters.
Funeral arrangements are pending the arrival of her son from Long Beach.
