MOUNT GILEAD - Funeral for John C. DeBerry of Route 3, who died Monday, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Wadeville A.M.E. Zion Church, of which he was a member and deacon.
Burial will be in Bruton Cemetery.
A Montgomery County native, he was a retired employee of the Charlotte Ear, Nose and Throat Hospital and a Sunday school superintendent.
Surviving are wife, Dulcia T. DeBerry; sons, Daniel DeBerry of Mount Gilead, David DeBerry of Newark, N.J.; sister, Ophelia Mason of Newark; foster daughter, Betty J. Christian of Mount Gilead; 12 grandchildren.
The family will be at Harris Funeral Home 7-7:30 p.m. today.
