Margaret M. LeTourneau, age 83, formerly of Iron Mountain, MI died Wednesday, July 25, 2001, at the Crandon Nursing Home in Crandon, Wis. Mrs. LeTourneau was born July 13, 1918, in Emardville Township, Minn. She was the daughter of the late Albert and Mathilda (Havos) Brooks and had lived in the area for 34 years.

She retired after teaching for many years in the Iron Mountain School District and Community Schools systems. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Iron Mountain and a former member of the Daughters of Isabella. She had been named the First Lady of Dickinson County in 1985.
Mrs. LeTourneau was an active volunteer at the Caring House and St. Vincent de Paul Society. She loved to sew.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest in 1998; two sisters: Barbara Brooks and Anna Leone Maves;
and three brothers: Robert, Albert and Donald Brooks.

She is survived by two sons: Gary (Sandra) LeTourneau of Goodman, Wis. and David (Elizabeth) LeTourneau of Escanaba, MI;
two brothers: Gerald (Connie) Brooks and Vernon Brooks, both of East Grand Forks, Minn.;
four grandchildren: Norbert, Kate, Emilie and Abbey.

Visitation will be held Friday, Aug. 17, from noon until 1 p.m. at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Msgr. James Kaczmarek will officiate.
Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 17, at Glenwood Cemetery in Goodman, Wis.
