Charles M. Aber Jr.,70, of Beech Creek, died Thursday Sept.11,2014 at his home with his family by his side.

Born in Lock Haven on Jan.5,1944, he was the son of the late Charles M. Aber Sr. and Maxine Jennifer Watson Aber.

He was united in marriage to the former Karen E. Potts on Oct.27, 1973. She preceded him in death on June 10, 2014.

He was a graduate of Lock Haven High School.

Chuck was a welder for Piper Aircraft Inc. for many years, then worked for Keystone Central School District.

He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict.

He belonged to several camps,including the 3-point Sportsman Club, Mosquito Creek Sportsman Club and was Captain of Wang's Camp affectionately named after him, in Orviston.

He was a avid hunter and fisherman and in his earlier years enjoyed bowling and belonged to various leagues.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Judy Jaskowak.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Sept.16 at 11:00 a.m. in the Beech Creek Wesleyan Church, 217 Main St. Beech Creek, with the Rev. Alan S. Eckenroad officiating. Burial will be in Hays- Fearon Cemetery, Beech Creek. Friends will be received Monday, Sept. 15, 2014 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the church.
