Louise Bell.

Yerington – Louise Bell, 92, died Monday in a Yerington hospital. A resident of Smith for the past 10 years, she was born May 23, 1884 in Cokewell, Ore. Her family moved to Carson City when she was very young, and she attended the University of Nevada in the early 1900's.

She married Lester L. Bell in 1913, and they made their home in Bodie, Calif. They moved to Hawthorne in 1949, and Bell died in 1950.

Surviving are daughters, Olive Alpers of Smith, and Arena Lewis of Yerington; sons, Lester of Tucson, Ariz., and Bob of Luning; 10 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be at the Freitas Funeral Home, Yerington, from 6 to 9 p.m. today. A funeral will be held at the Methodist Church in Smith Valley at 9:30 a.m. Thursday. Burial will follow at 11:30 a.m. at the Bodie Cemetery, Mono County, Calif.
