Mr. Dale Fry, age 71, of Honaker, Virginia, passed away Saturday (September 22, 2018) at his home. Born January 13, 1947 in West Virginia, he was a son of the late Andrew Jackson Fry and Sarah Irene Passmore Fry. He had spent most of his life in the southwest Virginia area and was a member of Swords Creek Community Baptist Church. A retired coal miner, he had formerly been employed by Consol Coal Company and was a member of the UMWA. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife of forty-nine years, Donna Justice Fry of the home; two children, Angie Fry Lawson and husband, Dennis and Richard Fry; three grandchildren, Ashley Carey and husband, Joe, Tiffeney Feeser and husband, Bebo, and Isabel Lawson; four great-grandchildren, Isla Carey, Jonah Carey, Noah Feeser, and Oaklyn Feeser; two sisters, Polly Hagerman and Mary Stevens; two brothers, Bill Fry and Charles Fry; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Charles and Juanita Justice; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday at the Swords Creek Community Baptist Church in Swords Creek, Virginia with Rev. Arnold King officiating. Interment will follow in Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, Virginia.
Pallbearers will be Dennis Lawson, Joe Carey, Bebo Feeser, Tommy Grindstaff, Danny Justice, and Brian Reynolds.
The family will receive friends at Swords Creek Community Baptist Church on Tuesday from 1:00 PM til 2:00 PM.
