Funeral services were held Sept. 9, 1994 for former Bishop resident Anna M. Smith at Arvada, Arizona. Mrs. Smith was born May 6, 1916 in St. Helens, Ore. She died Sept. 5, 1994 in Sierra Vista, Arizona. She moved to Bishop in 1954 where her husband was employed by U.S. Vanadium. Mrs. Smith was employed by Northern Inyo Hospital as a cook for 15 years. She was preceded in death by her husband Warren L. Smith, and son William L. Smith. Survivors include her daughters: Darlene Landis of Big Pine, Mery Ann Titus of Apple Valley, Sharon Smith of Victorville, Carolyn Smith and Patricia Powell of Alaska; son Mike Smith of Rovana; 13 grandchildren including David Bay and Darrell Lawrence of Big Pine, Kenneth Bay of Mammoth Lakes, Lucinda Bay of Anchorage, Alaska, and Jamie, Jason, Melissa and Travis Smith of Rovana; several great grandchildren and her brother, Robert W. Reynolds of West Lynn, Ore.
