A former Eldon resident, Roscoe K. Greenup, 60, Conneaut, Ohio, died Friday,
Sept. 3, 1983, at a Veterans Administration Hospital in Erie, Penn. He was born
Nov. 30, 1921, at Eldon to Thomas T. and Mary J. Wood Greenup.
He was an engineer for the Lake Erie Railroad from 1946 until 1964. During
World War II Mr. Greenup served with the U.S. Marine Corps and he was a member
of the VFW at Albion, Penn. He was also a member of the Baptist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Connie Eckels, Indianapolis, Ind., and Mrs.
Roxanne Curtis, Denham Springs, La.; two sisters, Mrs. Opal Davis, Kansas City,
Kan., and Mrs. Beulah Bunch, Eldon; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at Griswold-Kays Funeral Home with
the Rev. Tommy Bunch officiating. Burial was in Dooley Cemetery.
