Michael was born November 20, 1945, to parents Melvalyn J. and Lynn E. Angell in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. He passed on September 18, 2019, at his home in Eagle, Idaho.

The Angells traveled and moved extensively during the early years of Michael’s life and finally settled in Nampa when Michael was eight. In 1962 Michael met his future wife Judy Jones in a Nampa High School class and they were married in 1968.

Michael went to schools in Nampa, the University of Idaho, San Diego State University and University of California, San Diego. He worked for the Union Pacific Railroad for several years before Uncle Sam called him into the U. S. Navy.

After the Navy, Michael left Idaho for California and joined Westinghouse Corp. He worked in numerous management positions for Westinghouse in the eleven Western states.

He left Westinghouse in 1987 and started an advertising and creative services agency. Ever the creative, Michael was a very accomplished artist, photographer and copywriter.

Michael and Judy retuned to Idaho from the San Diego area in 2013 and settled in Eagle.

Michael died after a long, hard fought battle with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. We would like to thank Dr. Matthew DiVietro of St. Luke’s Idaho Pulmonary Associates, for his extraordinary care and kindness during Michael’s illness.

We are also grateful for the many kindnesses of our friends during Michael’s final days. He is preceded in death by his parents. Michael is survived by his beloved wife Judy.

The service will be private with inurnment at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery.
