Grace P. (Sterner) Folk, 88, of Maxatawny Township, died Sept. 20, 2013 in Good Shepherd Specialty Hospital at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenburg Campus, Bethlehem. She was the widow of William J. Folk, who died Dec. 5, 1991.

Born in Kutztown, she was a daughter of the late Peter S., and Gertrude E. (Reider) Sterner.
Mrs. Folk was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Kutztown, where she served as Chairlady of the kitchen and on the St. Paul's Bazaar Committee.

She attended Kutztown Area High School.

She, along with her late husband Bill, owned and operated the former Three Mile House in Greenwich Township, for more than 20 years. Prior to that, she was employed by the former Fleetwood Shirt Factory and the former Wenton Shoe Company, Kutztown.

Mrs. Folk was a member of the Ladies Auxiliaries of Kutztown, Lyons, Shoemakersville and Virginville Fire Companies; a member and past president of Kutztown Lioness; and a member of the Kutztown Senior Citizens and Topton Seniors groups.

Survivors: Sons, Richard C., husband of Arlene (Smith) Folk, Lyon Station, Keith L., husband of Nancy (Nauss) Folk, Gilbertsville; sister, Norma J. (Sterner) Berger, Shoemakersville; grandchildren, Mark, Michael, Marlene, Melain and Martin. There are also14 great grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter. She was predeceased by eight siblings; Chester A. Reider, Charles F. Sterner, William Sterner, Peter O. Sterner, Myrtle Boyer, Dorothy S. Rentschler, Gloria R. Balthaser, Gayle E. Christman.

Funeral services Tuesday, Sept. 24, at 11 a.m. from St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 47 S. Whiteoak St., Kutztown, with Reverend John W. Davies officiating. Interment follows in Hope Cemetery, Kutztown, Friends may call Tuesday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. in the church.
