Levene, Dr. Jack M., 86, of Lake Worth passed away Monday June 11, 2012. A graduate of Cornell University, class of 1947, Dr. Levene received his medical degree from Syracuse College of Medicine in 1951, and practiced radiology in Binghamton, Endicott, and Johnson City, NY, as well as at Barnes Kasson Hospital in Susquehanna, PA. before retiring to Florida in 1985. He also served as the President of Temple Israel in Binghamton, NY. Dr. Levene served during the Korean War and was attached to the Second General Hospital in Lansdstuhl, Germany. Beloved husband of Jill (Shirley); devoted father of Dr. Richard (Janice) Levene, Stuart I.C. Levene, and Lisa Levene; loving grandfather of Brandon, Alex, Joshua, and Adam Levene, and Brandon Suhajcik; and dear brother of Edward (Karen) Levene. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday June 15, 2012 at Beth Israel Memorial Chapel, Jog & Woolbright Rds., Boynton Beach, FL, 33437. Family will receive friends at their residence in The Fountains in Lake Worth immediately following services through Sunday. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Palm Beach County, 5300 East Avenue, W. Palm Beach, FL 33407.
