He was born October 7, 1950, in Alice, Texas, the son of Pearl Dean Ake and Coolidge Ake.
He spent his career years as retail clerk in various businesses.
He attended the University of California at San Diego.
He loved reading and spent much of his time with his books, family, and pets.
He is survived by his mother, Pearl Dean "Perky" Ake of Cherokee; brother, Joel Ake and Donna of Boston, Mass.; and sister Lisa and Fred Bakhshi of Leander, TX; nieces and nephews Nick Bakhshi, Shayda Bakhshi, and Jesse Ake; and long time friend, Debra Mastenbrook of Cherokee. He is also survived by numerous friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Coolidge Ake. The family requests that memorials be made to the Cherokee Children's Home.
