Agnes B. Thorstad, 96, formerly of West Sixth Street, died Thursday, July 29, 1993, in Carlton Nursing Home. She was born in Varmland, Sweden and was a Duluth resident for most of her life. She was a secretary and bookkeeper for Nelson Knitting Mills for more than 34 years, retiring in 1964. She attended Temple Baptist Church, was an AARP member and a former member of the Young at Heart Club at Temple Baptist Church and the Community Club at Lenox Place. Her Daughter Marjorie Ruzic, died in 1967; and her husband, Elmer, died in 1972. Survivors include a son, John of Augusta, Ga.; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a great great granddaughter. Visitation will be from 10 until the 11 am services in Fred Olson Mortuary. Burial will be in Park Hill Cemetery.
