Marie was born on January 12, 1920 in Wellsburg, ND to her parents, Henry and Ludwina Ganje. She went to school through 9th grade and always wanted to be a teacher. She started working as a housekeeper for a local priest and veterinarian. She later worked as a grocery store clerk during world war II, which was something she was very proud of. She then met her husband Fulton Feldman at a local dance when he was on leave from the Army. They were married in Harvey on September 24, 1945. They lived together in Sidney, MT, Minot, Williston, and Dickinson and had seven children together.
Marie was an avid sewer, a devoted Catholic, enjoyed volunteer work. Some of her favorite volunteer work was for God’s Child Project, gift wrapping at the mall, and labeling library books at Simle school. She loved making flannel baby blankets for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren on her Singer treddle sewing machine, looking at maps and she also looked forward to watching the Twins baseball games. And pie!!
Marie is survived by her sister, Leona (Wesley) Feickert, and daughters Carol (Lyle) Thompson and Janice Feldman, and sons Ronald (Sue) Feldman, Dennis (Patti) Feldman and Paul (Lori) Feldman. She also had 17 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Fulton; her sisters, Monica, Marcella, Angeline, and brothers Edward, Leonard, Carl, Pius; and her daughters, Emily Bohnenstingel and Patricia Miller.
