Mrs. Daisy M. Fleming, 78, of 351 South 11th Street in Kansas City, Kansas, passed away on Tuesday, June 22nd, at Providence Hospital, where she had been a patient for two months. Mrs. Fleming was born in Peru, Nebraska, and had been a resident of Kansas City, Kansas, for 43 years. Her husband, Alfred James Fleming, who passed away in 1944, was a retired switchman for the Rock Island Railroad. She was a member of St. Benedict's Catholic Church and its Altar Society, and the auxiliary to the Switchmen's Union of North America.

She was survived by a daughter, Mrs. Aleen Krepps, of the home; a sister, Miss Bonnie Dee Wert, of Los Angeles; and a brother, Harry W. Wert, of Lincoln, Nebraska.

The Rosary was said on Wednesday evening evening at the Butler Chapel in Kansas City, Kansas. Services were held on Thursday morning at the Butler Chapel and at 9 o'clock at St Benedict's Catholic Church. Burial followed in Mount Calvary Cemetery.Daisy and John Martgan were married on July 8, 1894, in Nemaha, NE.
