Elmon E. Adams, 81, of 209 S. Jackson, Clinton, IL, a retired Clinton plumber, died at 1:40 p.m. Tuesday in Dr. John Warner Hospital, Clinton, IL. Funeral will be at the Herington-Calvert Funeral Home with Rev. C. Don Ferrill officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. There will be no visitation. He was born on August 18, 1895, in Clinton, a son of Frederick William and Ada (Polen) Adams. He married Hazel A. West on March 15, 199 in Clinton. She survives. Also surviving is a daughter, Mrs. Cy Powless, Clinton; a grandson, and two great-granddaughters. A brother preceded him in death. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Clinton, the Knights of Pythias Lodge and the American Legion. He was a veteran of World War I.
