Funeral services for Mrs. Angenette Francelia Barney were held at the Pardee funeral home Saturday afternoon, conducted by the Rev. J. H. Bancroft, pastor of the Methodist church. Burial was in Mountain Home cemetery. Mrs. Barney was born December 7, 1859, at Farmer, Ohio. She died at the farm home of her son, near Otsego, March 17. She was the oldest child of Mr. and Mrs. Jason B. Martin. When a young girl, she moved with her parents to Hopkins. On January 16, 1880, she was married to Warren Holmes. To this union were born four children, Lena, who died at the age of 17; Frank and Ethel, who survive; Elsie, who died in infancy. About forty years ago, she moved to Otsego. In July, 1907, she married Henry Barney of Otsego, who died in 1924. Mrs. Barney had been an invalid seventeen years. She is survived by her son, Frank Holmes, of Otsego, her daughter, Mrs. Ethel Aurand of Battle Creek; five grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Zelpha Hewitt of Cascade, Colo., Mrs. Alma Evans of Kalamazoo and Mrs. Eva Button of Otsego; a brother, Charles Martin of Martin.
