Frankie’s parents were Roy L. Crews and Violet Cushman Minton Crews. She was raised in Neosho Falls, and was close to her aunts, Mary Minton Burtch and Frances Minton Lieurance (Sansie). She met and married Harold Arbuckle just before WWII. They moved to Wichita during the war years, where Harold worked at the Boeing Airplane Plant. They had three girls. Nancy Sue was the oldest, then Mary Beth, and last, Jessie Leah. They spent most of their lives in Iola, Ks. She was a housewife, and later, a school teacher and librarian.
