Born on June 14, 1942 in Cheverly, MD the son of Henry Roy Harding and Mildred Painter. He graduated from Northwestern High School in 1960. On June 6, 1964 he married Martha Elizabeth Cowgill of MD. During his career he worked for the Department of Agriculture as a Professional Examiner of Plants and Animals. Later he began working in home improvement. He was a member of the Greensboro Baptist Church in Greensboro, MD.
He enjoyed his family above everything and playing softball, hunting and fishing but an important passion was that of an artist who worked in oil painting and ink drawing.
Mr. Harding is survived by his wife, Martha; sons, Mark (Sonja) Harding and Dale (Rachel) Harding and Timothy (Sheri) Stevens; grandchildren, Robert (Ashley) Harding, Kimberly (Timothy) Walker, Ashley (Nicholas) Daugherty, Laura Harding, Jessica (Haley) Harding, Brooke (William) Harding, Emma Harding and Ryan Harding; great-grandchildren, Kyleigh Harding, Hailey Harding, Sophie Harding, Wyatt Walker, Emily Walker, Nick Daugherty, Logan Daugherty, Lily Stevens and Shepard Stevens.
He has always felt very blessed for all Gods amazing miracles and gift of family, who he lived for and loved above everything.
The family will receive visitors on Friday, September 14, 2018 at Bradley Funeral Home in Luray, Virginia at 2 p.m. and again at 6 p.m.
A funeral service will be held at Bradley Funeral Home in Luray, Virginia on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at noon with interment to follow at the family cemetery in Stanley, Virginia.
