James Richard Bradley, 73, Holton, died May 6, 2007, at Holton Community Hospital. He was born July 22, 1933, near Holton, the son of Carl and Eleanor Bohannon Bradley. He lived all of his life in the Holton community, graduating from Holton High School in 1953. Mr. Bradley served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He later worked for Goodyear for 28 years as a truck and grader tire inspector. He was a member of First Christian Church, United Steel Workers Union Local 307 and the Jackson County Senior Citizens. He was a volunteer for Jackson County Friends of Hospice and belonged to the F.O.E. in Holton. He married Linda Christensen on Oct. 24, 1963. She died June 5, 1991. Survivors include three sisters, Helen Askren and husband Bob and Ethel Ann King and husband Charlie, all of Holton, and Verda Gharst and husband Gary, Topeka. Private family services will be held in Holton Cemetery.
