Wanda was born December 27, 1924 in Loveland, IA to Chester H. and Irene Currie Bailey. She married Nat G. Goodwin on March 19, 1949 in Omaha, NE. He preceded her in death on April 17, 2014 after 65 wonderful years together.
Surviving are two children, Rex B. (Sara) Goodwin of Clovis, CA and Nancy D. (Steve) Jones of Metamora, IL; daughter-in-law Sue Goodwin of Winneconne, WI; three grandchildren, Fallon M. (Michael) Martinez of Clovis, CA, Joanna B. Jones and David B. Jones, both of Denver, CO; three great-grandchildren Nathaniel and Daniel Goodwin-Martinez and Milania Martinez; sisters, Alma Jean Witherspoon, Audrey Rommel, and Barbara Sassman.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Scott G. Goodwin in 2003; and sister Bernadine Patterson in 2014.
Wanda graduated from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln in 1946, with a degree in business. Prior to retiring in 1989, Wanda worked for AT & T as a communication consultant for 22 years. She was an active PEO Sister and member since 1969.
Wanda and Nat will be inure day at 9:00am Friday, September 21, 2018 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 7909 Mormon Bridge Rd., Omaha, NE.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army.
