William Jenkins
William Waldo (Bill) Jenkins
was born January 12,
1938 to Cecil and Golden
Barnerd Jenkins. He married
Robbie Pennell Jenkins in
1956. To this union two sons
were born; namely, Joe and
wife Tammy Jenkins of Eliza
-
bethtown and Danny Jenkins
and friend Pam of Rosiclare.
He is also survived by
grandchildren, TJ and Can
-
dice Jenkins of Norris City,
Amber and Ryan Frailey of
Rosiclare, Kenzie Rae Jen
-
kins of Rosiclare, and William
Taylor Jenkins of Rosiclare;
great-grandchildren, Bryson
and Brynden Jenkins of Nor
-
ris City; brother, Mitchell and
wife Brenda Jenkins of Eliza
-
bethtown; sisters, Linda and
husband Tim Stanley of Cave
In Rock and Elladee Bell
of Vacaville, California. He
leaves several cousins who
were like siblings to him and
many nieces and nephews.
He also leaves a very spe
-
cial aunt, Dorothy Barnerd,
who was always there for
him.
Those who preceded him
in death were his parents;
brothers, Tommy Donithan,
Jerry Jenkins, and Michael
Jenkins; and sisters, Freida
Gentry and Rosemary Jen
-
kins.
Bill was a member of the
Peters Creek Baptist Church.
Bill graduated from Cave
In Rock High School in 1956
and attended SIC for several
classes. He worked as man
-
ager for Western Auto for
many years then advanced
to managing Gibharts Stores
in Hillsboro, IL. In 1974, he
moved his family back to
Hardin County and built a log
home for his family. He began
working for Crystal Mines in
1975. He also worked for Jef
fery Mining rebuilding heavy
coal mining equipment until his
health failed and retirement was
necessary.
